Material, before everything

A house is only as honest as its fabric. Ours begins on a loom in the valley.

Warp-dyed before it is ever woven, so the colour blooms with a soft, clouded edge — abr, the weavers call it. No two metres are identical.

Suzani

Stitched by hand in motifs carried through generations — pomegranate, sun, vine. We use it as detail, never as costume.

A craft passed by hand

For more than a thousand years this stretch of the old Silk Road has dyed and woven by hand, the knowledge carried from one generation to the next. That long memory is the house's inheritance.

A thousand years on one loom

The story of Ferganali begins where the silk does.

Atlas silk on a hand loom
The valley

Where weaving never stopped

For over a millennium, the valley has dyed and woven silk by hand. Its heart is a town whose name is a byword for atlas and adras — the ikat cloth whose clouded patterns can't be machine-faked.

Ferganali was founded to carry that craft forward without freezing it in a museum: the same hands, the same looms, cut into clothes made for how people actually dress today.

Steel & silk

The idea

Two materials, one house. Silk for where we come from; a clean, modern line for where we're going. Heritage pieces are woven and tailored in the valley. Essentials are designed here and crafted with partners we name openly.

Legacy-grade material, direct pricing, nothing hidden on the label. That is the whole brief.

Atlas silk, cut and tailored

Forty thousand decisions go into a single robe. The loom does not hurry, and neither do we.

On the making of atlas silk
From thread to garment

Four hands, one cloth

Atlas silk is made the slow way, in an order that has not changed in centuries.

01
Dyeing raw silk skeins

Dye

Bundles of raw silk are dipped in natural colour — indigo, madder, isparak — before a single thread is woven.

02
Binding the warp by hand

Bind

The pattern is tied into the warp by hand, thread by thread, so the colour lands exactly where the design asks.

03
Weaving atlas silk on the loom

Weave

On a wooden loom the cloth takes shape, and the dye blooms into the soft, clouded edge the weavers call abr.

04
Tailoring the finished cloth

Tailor

Only then is the length cut and tailored — a single robe from a single bolt, never to be repeated.

A numbered bolt of atlas silk
Heritage, numbered

One of one

Because no two lengths of atlas are alike, no two Heritage pieces can be alike either. We make that explicit: each is numbered, recorded, and made to order.

Inside each garment is a provenance card — the piece, its number, and the words the house was built on.

The making of this piece

From loom to line

This cloth was dyed in bundles before weaving, so the pattern arrives soft at every edge — the mark of true ikat. It cannot be printed and it cannot be rushed.

That is why the Heritage Collection is small, and why each piece is numbered.
